Amanda, a product designer, smiles in a black tshirt with a lush green background

Hi - thanks for checking out my portfolio!

I’m Amanda Simmons (she/her), a product designer dedicated to creating intuitive, joyful products for learning and beyond. I have a background in education and a passion for campfire stories and s’mores.

Currently, I’m studying Learning Technology and Experience Design at NYU Steinhardt. Recently, I helped launch Boostability, an AI-powered academic organizational tool for neurodivergent college students. Before that, I interned at Nomie where I designed an educational game to help students memorize their classmate’s names.

When I'm offline, I love to craft - knitting, creating handmade birthday cards, sewing, etc. - unless I'm out running.

I fell in love with design while curating outdoor experiences for kids at my childhood summer camp, and I approach every design with curiosity and humility: finding joy in the process and continuously learning and improving.

One day, I hope to run the NYC Marathon, travel to all 7 continents (3 to go!), take a pottery class, and have a vegetable garden.

I’d love to hear from you via email!
